Convex Seascape Survey

The Convex Seascape Survey is a five-year global research programme launched in April 2022 asking how a healthy ocean can help fight climate change, focused on seabed sediments as the ocean's largest organic carbon store. Led by the Blue Marine Foundation, the University of Exeter and Convex Group, it runs fieldwork from the tropics to the poles and was endorsed under the UN Ocean Decade in August 2025.
